Day Off; To Do.

Sleep in.
Water the plants.
Talk to the neighbor.
Open the windows.
Play with the cat.
Wipe the counters.
Feel the breeze.
Snuggle the dogs.
Grocery shop, slowly.
Wrangle the laundry.
Start a new book.
Write thank you cards.
Remember upcoming birthdays.
Rest.
Consider the bigger picture.
Chop vegetables.
Listen to the week's news.
Flip through the mail.
Remember this all started ten years ago.
Text best friends.
Allow the next shift to be a fleeting thought.
Journal.
Clean out the fridge.
Forgive, then forget, the week's grievances.
Do the favor.
Apply face mask and epsom salts liberally.
Plan the next vacation.
Sleep.
